KATHMANDU, Nepal - In a truly remarkable accomplishment, Pasang Dawa Sherpa has achieved an extraordinary feat by reaching the peak of Mount Everest for the 27th time. After conquering the mountain 26 times by May 14, Pasang Dawa has set a new record with his 27th ascent.
Joined by the Chinese Group, Pasang Dawa Sherpa and Chinese climber Lin Zhiyong reached the summit on Monday at 8:25 am. This incredible accomplishment comes just a few days after Pasang Dawa's previous climb on May 14. This achievement is a testament to Pasang Dawa's exceptional skills, unwavering determination, and unyielding spirit.
Hailing from the modest village of Pangboche, Pasang Dawa Sherpa's relentless pursuit of mountaineering excellence has led him to conquer Everest on numerous occasions. Noteworthy climbs include those in 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2006. Continuing his unwavering quest, he achieved successful summits in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011, even reaching the peak twice within the same year in 2007, 2012, and 2022.
Mountaineering enthusiasts witnessed another astounding accomplishment this spring season as Pasang Dawa Sherpa completed a remarkable 27th climb of Mount Everest, further showcasing the indomitable human spirit and the ability to conquer nature's most formidable challenges.
