ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - The Federal Directorate of Immunisation (FDI) inaugurated a dry storage warehouse on Saturday to increase storage capacity for vaccine-related supplies and other equipment.
The World Health Organization's Regional Director, Dr. Ahmed Al Mandhari, and WHO Pakistan Representative Dr. Palitha Mahipala inaugurated the facility.
According to the statement, the newly established facility has increased the warehouse's storage capacity for vaccine-related supplies and other equipment.
Dr. Al Mandhari, who is in Pakistan to participate in the Polio Oversight Board and meet with high-level leadership, stated at the event, "WHO is committed to supporting Pakistan's federal and provincial governments in technically implementing the Routine Immunisation Programme in the country and improving the health infrastructure for quality services."
He also praised WHO's close collaboration with government counterparts in delivering health programs.
